IKO_enertherm_rooftop

IKO enertherm for flat roofs is available in four different coatings, each with their own specific qualities:

IKO enertherm ALU: λD = 0.023 W/m.K. For extreme insulation values, coated on both sides with an aluminium multi-layer complex.

 

IKO enertherm ALU 50: λD = 0.023 W/m.K. For extreme insulation values and the best fire resistance characteristics, coated on both sides with 50-micron thick stucco (scaled) aluminium.

 

IKO enertherm MG: λD = 0.027  - 0.028 W/m.K. For good fire resistance characteristics, for mechanically attached systems and (cold) adhered systems, coated on both sides with a mineral-coated glass film.

 

IKO enertherm BGF: λD = 0.026 - 0.027 - 0.028 W/m.K. For hot applied roof sealing systems, coated on both sides with a bituminous glass fleece finished with a polypropylene film.

IKO Enertherm ALU is a 100 % CFC-free insulation board with a core of hard polyisocyanurate foam, coated on both sides with a tri-ply gas-tight aluminium multi-layer complex.

 

Application:
The insulation board is applied as thermal insulation layer for warm roofs in combination with:

  • A mechanically attached waterproofing system (1 or 2 layers)
  • A loose, ballasted waterproofing system
  • A partially adhesive waterproofing system
  • Fully adhered roofing

Attaching insulation:

  • Mechanically fixed to the surface (at least 4 pieces: 1 attachment at every corner)
  • Laid loosely with ballast on top of waterproofing
  • Partially adhered with PU roofing adhesive

Thermal performance: Lambda value (EN 13165) = 0.023 W/mK

Fire classification: B S2 D0 (EN13501-1 end-use application)

  • Slope 1 in 120: 30-40 mm through 90-100 mm
  • Slope 1 in 80: 30-45 mm through 75-90 mm
  • Slope 2 in 120: 40-60 mm through 100-120 mm

IKO Enertherm MG is a 100 % CFC-free insulation board with a core in hard polyisocyanurate foam, coated on both sides with perforated mineral-coated glass facer.

Application

  • The insulation board is applied as a thermal insulation layer for warm roofs in combination with:
  • A partially self-adhesive bituminous substrate
  • A mechanically fixed waterproofing system, bituminous or plastic, 1 or 2 layers
  • A loose-laid, ballasted waterproofing system, bituminous or plastic
  • Bituminous membrane with bituminous roofing adhesive

Attaching insulation

  • Mechanically fixed to the surface (at least 4 pieces for sheets: 1 attachment at every corner)
  • Applied with hot bitumen 110/30 or 85/25, approx. 1.5 kg/m² (calculation value for wind resistance 3000 Pa)
  • Partially adhered with PU roofing adhesive

Thermal performance:

  • Lambda value (EN 13165) = 0.028 W/mK for thicknesses < 80 mm
    Lambda value (EN 13165) = 0.027 W/mK for thicknesses ≥ 80 mm

Application “rooftop”

  • IKO enertherm BGF is used as a thermal insulation layer in a built-up roof construction in combination with:
  • 1 or 2-layer mechanically fixed waterproofing membranes
  • Ballasted loose laid roof waterproofing systems
  • Partially or fully bonded self-adhesive multi-layer bitumen waterproofing membranes
  • Mastic Asphalt (including polymer modified) IKO enertherm PIR BGF must be overlaid with loose laid sheathing felt prior to the application of asphalt).
  • Partially torched underlay or cap sheet
  • Cold adhered underlay or cap sheet

Product description:

IKO enertherm BGF is a CFC-free insulation PIR board with a rigid polyisocyanurate foam core, faced on both sides with a bituminous glass fleece finished with a polypropylene film.
